The Titans didn’t win the tournament but Ella Howard (79) of Gadsden City finished with the best score of the three Etowah County schools. The Titans had their first match Wednesday and Thursday was their first tournament of the season. Practice has been few and far between with all the wet weather.
“Yesterday I didn’t play that great, but today I wasn’t stressed and it wasn’t good,” Howard said.
It didn’t hurt that the front nine was kind to Howard.
“I didn’t have any three putts and that helped a lot with my confidence,” Howard added.
