Boys Varsity Soccer, Girls Varsity Soccer · Congrats to GCHS Soccer Players

The All-Etowah County boys soccer team, voted on by coaches and media, was released recently with Southside leading the way.

The Panthers’ Isaac Franklin was named the player of the year while coach Randy Vice was chosen as the coach of the year.

Franklin is a North all-star selection and totaled 31 goals and 30 assists while leading Southside to the second round of the Class 4A-5A state playoffs.

Six teammates joined Franklin on the team: Carlos Herrera, Jaren Greene, Spencer Barnard, Koen De Hullu, Miguel Alvarez and Logan Shellnutt.

Gadsden City had five players make the team: Will Partridge, Kagan Stocks, Garrett Keck, Cameron Brown and Jesse Kantzler.

Glencoe’s Will Kelley and Cameron Brown, Westbrook Christian’s Will Edwards and Jai’Shawn Cattling and Etowah’s Derek Zatarain rounded out the field.
