Recap for Boy and Girl Teams:::: The Titan Swim Team competed in the Cullman Bearcat Invitational Thursday with most swimmers shaving several seconds from their best times. Qualifying for North Sectionals are Harrison Parker, Kathryn Sparks, Kendall Lindsey, Alice Seok, and Anne Roberts who hope to qualify for State within the next three weeks. The women’s medley relay team had their best swim with Sparks swimming backstroke, Hayden Cannon swimming breaststroke, Alice Seok swimming butterfly, and Kendall Lindsey finishing with freestyle!! Next Saturday, the Titans compete in Huntsville next Saturday in the North Alabama Championship Meet.

The No. 10-ranked Senators beat Gadsden City 38-13 Friday night to clinch third place in Class 7A, Region 4.
Gadsden City (3-6, 3-3) and Huntsville (4-4, 2-4) meet next week to decide the fourth and final playoff spot in Region 4.
Sparkman scored on all three of its first-half possession to go into the break up 17-3, then added touchdowns on its first two drives of the third quarter for a 31-6 lead. The Senators defense held Gadsden City to 80 yards of offense and four first downs in the first half, and forced five turnovers in the second half.

Ryan Sparks completed 9 of 31 passes for 131 yards with a 13-yard touchdown to Jaylen Cole in the early in the fourth quarter and four picks. Jonathan Kilgo kicked field goals of 37 and 30 yards. Jamontez Woods ran for 73 yards on 18 carries. Laray Mostella caught five passes for 88 yards.

40 – Plays run by Sparkman in the first half to Gadsden City’s 18; 9 – Second-half turnovers by the Titans in their past two games; 17 – Plays on the Senators’ opening drive of the game, which covered 80 yards.
