BOYS BASKETBALL AREA TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE POSTED

Wednesday morning at the Regional meeting, the Titans won the coin toss to “host” the area tournament.  There was a tie for first place between Gadsden City and Grissom which warranted the flip of the coin for placement and home court advantage. TITANS RELEASE 2016 FOOTBALL SCHEDULE: The Titans will look to improve on a 2015 overall record of 5-5 and 4-3 in Class 7A Region 4. The releasing of the 2016-2018 AHSAA Re-Classification on January 20 revealed the exiting of Hazel Green to Class 6A Region 8 and the addition of rival Hewitt-Trussville to Region 4.

Special Olympics Basketball gets first WIN

Monday the Special Olympics basketball team played against Gadsden Parks and Recreation B Team and WON!!  The score was 23 – 10.  Keyshawn Taylor was high scorer with 10 pts.  Congratulations Titans!!!!   The Titans also played first game last Wednesday against the Exception Foundation of Birmingham.  It was a loss with a score of 27-16. Minton “runs” with Rotary Youth Leadership Award.

GCHS is excited to announce that Laura Minton, a cross country runner for the Titans, was selected for the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA). Downtown Rebound Basketball Promotion; City Officials vs. GCHS Titans

The Downtown Rebound Promotion was a joint effort with Gadsden City officials and Gadsden City High School to support GCHS by agreeing to donate $100 each to help support GCHS athletics.  The Titans and the fans certainly enjoyed the night of entertainment they received at this event during the half-time of the boys varsity game

Titans honor Senior Basketball and Cheer

No. 4 Gadsden City boys beat Huffman 86-71

Class 7A, No. 4 Gadsden City beat Huffman 86-71 Saturday night in boys high school basketball. Kalin Johnson led the Titans (19-6) with 32 points. Shond Kidd-McKinney scored 27 points. Burns, No. 5 Gadsden City top Huffman 56-48

Class 7A, No. 5 Gadsden City defeated Huffman 56-48 in girls high school basketball Saturday. Brooke Burns led the way for the Titans with 32 points and eight rebounds.
