Cote’s Walkoff Seals The Deal In Gadsden City’s Victory Over Sardis
A walk-off home run led the Titans past Sardis 9-7 on Thursday. Gadsden Cit trailed 7-6 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Madison Cote homered on a 1-2 count, scoring three runs.
Gadsden City collected ten hits and Sardis had four in the high-scoring affair.
Sardis knotted the game up at six in the top of the sixth inning, when their #44’s sac fly scored one run for Sardis.
Sardis scored three runs in the sixth inning. Sardis offense in the inning was led by #23, #44, and #2, who all drove in runs.
Amanda Kantzler pitched the Titans to victory. She lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and seven runs while striking out 13 and walking one.
#22 toed the rubber for Sardis. She lasted three and a third innings, allowing four hits and six runs while striking out four. #25 and #19 entered the game as relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings and one-third of an inning respectively.
Gadsden City racked up ten hits in the game. Auburn Dupree, Carson Gray, and Michaela Brown each managed multiple hits for the Titans. Dupree went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Gadsden City in hits.
