The Titans got the WIN against Arab 51 – 48 Gadsden City held Arab scoreless in the final 2:46 of the game and rallied for a 51-48 win Tuesday night at home.
Gadsden City’s Quinton Densmore caused huge turnovers late as he totaled three steals in the final three minutes. The junior stole the ball with 1:02 remaining and dished it to Dee Pearson, who scored a game-high 21 points, for a layup to give Gadsden City a 49-48 lead. The Titans (6-8) previously trimmed their deficit to a point after a free throw by Calvin Williams and two free throws by Pearson. Densmore totaled six steals in the game.
″(Densmore) is a defensive specialist,” Huff said. “He knows that’s his role. He comes in every night ready to play. He’s an awesome defender.”
Trey Woods and Jamontez Woods each hit a free throw in the final 41 seconds to extend Gadsden City’s lead to three.
