GCHS Special Olympics Swim brings home multiple WINS

Congratulations to the Gadsden City High School Special Olympics swim team who competed at the Birmingham district meet. The swimmers competed in nine events and came home with 6 first place ribbons, 2 second and 1 third.

GCHS Special Olympics Swim Team Competed at Troy for State

Congratulations to the GCHS Special Olympics Swim Team who competed this weekend at the Special Olympics State Games At Troy University.  The athletes came home with a total of 14 Gold, 3 Silver, 1 Bronze and 1 4th place ribbon. Titan Special Olympic Swim Team brings home 11 first place wins!

The Gadsden City Special Olympics Swim team comes home with 11 first place, 6 second place and 2 third place ribbons on their respective races at the Decatur Sectional swim meet today.  GCHS is so proud of them!  Congrats to all of you that participated.    

Titan Special Olympics Swim Team ~ Friday Results

The Titan Swim Team had a sectional meet at the Birmingham Sportsplex on Friday and they came home with 7 first place, 7 second place, and 1 third place in their respective races.  Their next swim meet is Feb. 15th in Decatur. CONGRATULATIONS TITANS!!!!

Special Olympics Swim had a BIG day

Special Olympics swim team was at Decatur aquadome for a sectional meet.  Team came home with 9- first place ribbons,6-  second place ribbons, 2-third place ribbons, 1 fourth and 1 fifth place ribbons.  Both relay teams won first place in their respective races. CONGRATULATIONS TITANS!

The official GCHS Special Olympics swim team 2017 at their meet in Decatur Friday and came back with 11 first, 4 second, 8 third, 2 fourth, and 1 fifth place wins.  Congratulations to the team on a job well done! Go Titans!

Fellow students gave all Gadsden City High School Special Olympians a standing ovation Monday and repeated that action for David Hodges – named Alabama’s Special Olympics 2016 Athlete of the Year. Gadsden City Special Olympics Team Brings Home Gold…A Lot of GOLD

Congratulations to the Gadsden City Titan’s Special Olympics Team for being adorned as champions in swimming at the State Games in Troy, Alabama this weekend.  They came away with 10 – gold, 4 – silver, 2 – bronze and 1 fourth place medals.  Congratulations Titans! You are #TitanStrong!

Special Olympics swim team competed with 11 other teams in Jasper today. In the 17 events that they were in they came home with 7 first , 5 second, 3 third and 2 fourth place ribbons. They have all qualified for state games in May at Troy University. WAY TO GO TITANS!!!


Results from Decatur District meet for Special Olympics Swim Team’s first swim event. The swimmers competed in 14 individual events and two relays.
